ACCT NOW Spring 2008

Discover Transportation Freedom
by Zachary Shahan

There are more ways to travel then just a car. To help realize this idea, ACCT has established a new program called Discover Transportation Freedom. With this program we hope to get citizens to realize other modes of transportation along with getting people to try to change their perception driving is the only way to get from place to place.

How Safe is it to Bicycle and Walk? Do the Risks Outweigh the Rewards?

While there may be risks for using bicycles and walking as your main transportation, there are many more benefits to outweigh the risks. From improved health to data that shows that it is safer to ride bikes or walk instead of using cars, get out and bike and walk!

Our Transportation Future

While there are safer ways to get around, we must plan and let our politicians know we are in support of these alternative ways of transportation. We have members, staff and volunteers helping us to do this, but we need your help too! So if you want to help, email Zachary at zarchary@transportationchoice.org or call at 295-6554.

Thanks to All New Members

Thank you to all of our new and renewed members (since October 2006).
